How to deliver your Gmail email to your desk top.

Having a free email address sure is handy, but there's just something cheesy (in my humble opinion) about having a Hotmail or Yahoo address. I'm not sure why, but Gmail just appears to sound more credible.

Anyway, the only thing I don't like about Gmail is that they don't have the Alphabetical sort function. I use this function all the time in my desk top email program when I am trying to find a particular email. So the simple solution is to have all my GMAIL forwarded to my outlook email address.

So, what you want to do is log into your Gmail account and in the top right hand corner you will find a "gear" icon. When you click on that there should be a drop down menu with the option of "mail settings". Click on Mail Settings. When that page loads you should find some various links on the top section. Click on Forwarding. In the top section should be the forwarding information you need to complete. Be sure to enter the email address you want your mail forwarded to and scroll down to the bottom and click SAVE CHANGES!

Now your Gmail should forward to your desk top mail client. The only down fall is that you can't reply without it coming from your forwarded to email account. In which case you will need to go directly to GMAIL to reply and send emails. Nonetheless, I have found just having my hundreds of email all delivered to my desk top daily a big help.

Hopefully I haven't totally confused you, but if so, don't be afraid to give me a shout!
